NBM provides K31m for nursing scholarships

National Bank on Wednesday announced scholarships and bursaries totalling over K31 million over 3 years to 18 students..

Speaking during the presentation of the scholarship cheques to the students, NBM Chief Executive Officer George Partridge said they provided the support because of the need the Students have. "Our corporate social responsibilty focuses on education, health and the environment. Apart from our focus we also heard of the needy students in these colleges being sent back because they were not able to pay for school fees," said Partridge.

Each student is required to pay K580,800.00 per year. The students that have been provided with the scholarships were selected by Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM). The students include one from Holy Family in Phalombe, 11 from St Lukes' College of nursing in Zomba and 6 from St Joseph in Chiradzulu.
