Malawi Stock Exchange listed National Bank of Malawi Plc presented cheques worth K3 million kwacha to the Institute of the Chartered Accountants in Malawi(ICAM) and Chartered Institute of Marketers(CIM) Malawi.

The funds have been pumped into lake conferences for the two institutions set for September 2018.

NBM head of Treasury and Investment Banking Division, Harry Mukaka said the conferences are ideal for economic growth and development. He said the meetings will be focusing on achieving the sustainable growth and profitability, hence need for support.

‘’We at NBM believe that members as individuals and their respective organizations would benefit from these associations and conferences, in turn the whole economy would benefit.’’ Mukaka said

Reacting, CIM Malawi President Michael Khomani commended the bank for the support. He said the funds would help in meeting the conference goals
‘’in line with our theme, we would discuss measures and strategies of surviving competitive market. These funds would then play a critical role in helping host the conference.’’ Khomani said

ICAM director of technical and member services, Charles Chimpeni also thanked NBM for the support. He said preparations were at an advanced stage for the conference which would be held under the theme ‘towards achieving sustainable Economic Gains-the Malawi Approach.’
