NBM opens 33rd service centre at Dwangwa
Listed National Bank of Malawi (NBM) plc Friday opened a magnificent service centre at Dwangwa in Nkhota-kota to bring the number of its service centres across the country to 33.
Speaking when he officially launched the centre, NBM plc Chief Executive Officer Macfussy Kawawa said the opening of Dwangwa Service Centre clearly demonstrates his company’s commitment in economic and financial development to all corners of the country.
“Dwangwa Service Centre is a fully-fledged service centre and is offering any services you require starting from enquiries, account opening, credit facilities and advisory services on how you can better manage your businesses including accounts,” said Kawawa.
Kawawa also said the new service centre, has spacious car park and an ambience and big banking hall with air conditioning system to offer comfort to customers while they transact.
“As a bank, we are working tirelessly to provide our customers with products and services which you can access and enjoy at your own comfort. In addition to the ATM which has been installed outside the bank to serve you 24 hours a day and seven days a week, we recently launched our mobile banking platform called ‘M0626 digital+’ and internet banking platform called ‘Banknet 360’. These products are meant to give convenience and speed in the way customers are served,” said Kawawa.
Speaking at the same function Nkhota-kota District Commissioner Dr Medson Matchaya hailed NBM plc for ‘putting up this beautiful structure’ which will also help in the productivity of the people in the district.
“Before you came up with this beautiful service centre, people around Dwangwa and Nkhota-kota who have accounts with your bank had to travel all the way to Mzuzu, Salima and Lilongwe to access your services but with the opening of this service centre, we expect increased productivity since there will be no excuses of absconding work to access banking services,” said Matchaya.
One of the customers Mphatso Mtambo thanked NBM for opening its service centre at Dwangwa saying it is a relief to customers who had to travel long distances to access NBM plc services.
“In addition, the structure has added to the beauty of our Dwangwa. The good thing is strategically located as those travelling on the M5 road will not miss this beautiful building here in Dwangwa,” said Mtambo.
To celebrate the opening of the centre, many customers and would be customers won several prizes during a raffle draw and they were treated to a cocktail in the banking hall.
