Introduction
National Bank of Malawi’s mobile app, Mo626digital, makes use of certain permissions in order to conduct its functionalities. These permissions are needed by the mobile application functionality.
Permissions we may use
We may request for use of your camera, read the state of the phone, read the contacts on your device and access your gallery.
How we use the permissions
The following are the activities that may require permission:
- We may use the camera permission to enable the user to take a photo using the app, this photo is then used as a profile photo.
- We may use the gallery permission to obtain data from your gallery whenever you choose to pick a photo from the gallery instead of taking a camera photo.
- We may read the phone state in order to know when the phone is idle so that we log off the user from the app.
- We may read contact information because in some cases, we may have a chat functionality that needs us to make use of your phone contacts

We do not share any of the information we collect with any third parties.
