National Bank of Malawi (NBM) plc Tuesday conducted the first draw for the ‘Swipe and Win Kizz Daniel promotion’ which saw five people winning standard tickets to the August 27, 2022 Kizz Daneil concert in Lilongwe.

NBM plc has partnered with Epic Lifestyle to sponsor the concert at a whopping K40 million and is currently running a promotion which requires its cardholders to use any of the bank’s Point of Sale (POS) machines to win tickets to the concert.

National Bank of Malawi customers, who are also fun lovers stand a chance to win 20 tickets for the upcoming Kizz Daniel Show on August 27 in Lilongwe if they patronise the digital platforms by the bank.

Two weeks ago, the bank partnered with Epic Lifestyle in the Kizz Daniel concert with a K40 million sponsorship. 

NBM's Manager Card Acquiring, David Tamula, said the concert gives them an opportunity to raise awareness on their updated digital platforms and that is why they introduced the "Swipe and Win Kizz Daniel promotion" to the customers.

Students at the Catholic University of Malawi (Cunima) can now be assured of studying with the latest versions of their textbooks following a gesture by National Bank of Malawi (NBM) to donate K7.5 million towards the purchase of the materials.

Cunima is reviewing it curriculum, which requires new books, and asked for support from NBM.

Speaking during the cheque presentation at the university's Nguludi campus in Chiradzulu on Friday, National Bank's head of corporate banking, William Chatsala, said the donation is a fulfillment of its corporate social responsibility while responding to the request by the University.

Stock Exchange listed National Bank of Malawi (NBM) plc will celebrate the country’s 58 years of independence in a unique way by replacing its flags with the national flag in its buildings and a promotion which will see 20 people winning fuel cards worth K100,000.

NBM Marketing and Corporate affairs Manager Akossa Hiwa said in an interview yesterday that being a ‘proudly’ local bank, NBM plc will want to celebrate the independence with a sense of national pride.

“Internally, we will replace our NBM plc flags with the national flag for the month of July and we will have a short flag raising ceremony on the eve of independence day.

National Bank of Malawi (NBM) plc has given K2 million to the Malawi Youth Chess team which leaves the country tomorrow for Zambia to participate at the African Youth Chess Championships which run from 2 10 July 2022.

Speaking in Blantyre during the cheque presentation, NBM plc Victoria Avenue Service Centre Manager Julie Namitembo said the Bank is proud to be associated with the promotion of the Chess game in the country through the Chess association of Malawi (Chessam) hence the support.

Listed National Bank of Malawi (NBM) plc will roll out the cash deposit facility on selected Auto Teller Machines (ATMs) which allow customers to deposit cash directly into their account using the NBM debit card.

Making the announcement in Blantyre, NBM plc Head of Operations Brian Boby said customers can use the machine to instantly credit their accounts without visiting the branch.
